Kabinett Schäffer

Das Kabinett Schäffer wurde am 28. Mai 1945 von der amerikanischen Besatzungsmacht als Staatsregierung des Freistaates Bayern eingesetzt. Es war die erste bayerische Landesregierung nach Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs. Nachdem die Militärregierung zur Ansicht gekommen war, dass Schäffer den öffentlichen Dienst nicht rigoros genug von ehemaligen Parteimitgliedern der NSDAP gesäubert hatte, entließ sie am 28. September 1945 ihn und sein Kabinett. Ihm folgte das Kabinett Hoegner I.^[1]
