Fadil Jahić Španac

Fadil Jahić (1910–1942) poznat i kao Španac rođen u Bijeljini, narodni heroj, bosanskohercegovački komunist i partizan. Osnivač prvog majevičkog partizanskog odreda, kojim je poslije zapovjedao i Vladimir Perić Valter i čiji je član bio Meša Selimović. Ubijen na Vukosavcima 20. februara 1942. u prvom otvorenom okršaju četnika i partizana.[1]

Učestvovao je u španskom građanskom ratu na republikanskoj strani i zajedno sa narodnim herojem Pekom Dapčevićem organizirao bijeg komunista iz francuskih koncentracionih logora.[2] Po povratku u zemlju i s početkom rata u Jugoslaviji, organizuje narodni otpor.

Mnoge škole i druge institucije su nazvane po njemu, pogotovo u Tuzli i sjeveroistočnoj Bosni.
