Пагост (тып паселішча)

Пагост (ад аг.-усх.-слав.: погостити — пагасціць, пабываць у гасцях) — адміністрацыйна-тэрытарыяльная адзінка на Русі. Упершыню адміністрацыйна-тэрытарыяльны падзел на Русі ўсталявала княгіня Вольга, падзяліўшы Наўгародскую зямлю на пагосты, устанавіўшы для іх урокі, пагост тым самым асацыяваўся з месцам прыпынку князя і яго дружыны ў час збору даніны.

Гісторыя

Пазней пагостамі пачалі называць адміністрацыйна-тэрытарыяльныя адзінкі, якія складаюцца з некалькіх населеных пунктаў (аналаг сучасных сельскіх паселішчаў, муніцыпальных утварэнняў раённага ўзроўню ў абласцях), а таксама і населеныя пункты, што з’яўляюцца цэнтрамі такіх адміністрацыйна-тэрытарыяльных адзінак. Тэрмін ужываўся на сучасных беларускіх землях да XVIII ст.

У пагосце меліся абшчынныя могілкі, цэнтральнае капішча (пасля прыняцця хрысціянства — царква), праводзіліся вечавыя сходы, мірскія суды, агульныя для абшчыны святы і абрады і інш. Таксама ў пагост паступала даніна з навакольных паселішчаў.

Знікненне пагоста як гістарычнага тыпу паселішча адносіцца да перыяду канчатковага запрыгоньвання абшчынных зямель (XIII—XIV стст.). З гэтага часу пагост як тып паселішча трансфармуецца ў відавы тапонім, ва ўсходніх рэгіёнах Беларусі назва пагост захоўваецца за могілкамі. У адрозненне ад Расіі, дзе пагост часам трансфармаўся ў цэнтр воласці, на тэрыторыі Беларусі ва ўмовах феадальна-прыгоннай сістэмы гаспадарання на змену пагостам прыходзілі сёлы, як цэнтры вотчынных і памесных феадальных уладанняў. На месцы некаторых пагостаў узніклі населеныя пункты.

Тыпы

  • Пагост-акруга — некалькі бессістэмных маладворных населеных адзінак (дворышчаў).
  • Пагост-цэнтр — кампактнае пасяленне, якое мела радыяльна-кругавую планіроўку.

Ландшафтна-планавая структура

Цэнтр забудовы пагоста вызначаўся царкоўным дваром (цвінтаром), побач з якім знаходзіўся грамадскі свіран (крама) і заезны дом. Радыяльна, па кірунках асноўных дарог фарміраваліся вуліцы-канцы. Там, дзе дарогі не маглі быць вызначальнымі ў планіроўцы (пры даволі рэдкай сетцы камунікацый), двары ставіліся вакол цэнтра (царквы), утвараючы канцэнтрычную структуру забудовы[1].
