Hermann Wendland (11 d'ochobre de 1825, Hannover – 12 de xineru de 1903, Hannover) foi un hortalaneru y botánicu alemán.

Foi la tercer xeneración d'una familia de xardineros de la corte de la Casa de Hannover. Aprendió xardinería nel Xardín botánicu de Göttingen y nel Real Xardín Botánicu de Kew, en Londres.

Viaxa por América Central ente 1856-1857. A la muerte del so padre, en 1870, asocéde-y a la cabeza de los Xardinos reales.

Hermann Wendland foi un especialista de palmeres y del so cultivu. Foi autor de 130 taxones y d'introducir numberoses especies tropicales nos campos europeos.

Les coleiciones d'orquídees y de palmeres de los "Xardinos Barrocos de Herrenhausen, fueron los más ricos de la so dómina. Lamentablemente, les palmeres, de más de 30 m, fueron destruyíes tres los bombardeos aliaos de 1944.
