Parchel (Persian: پرچل)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Zalaqi-ye Gharbi Rural District of Zalaqi District,[a] Aligudarz County, Lorestan province, Iran.[5]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 554 in 82 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 459 people in 92 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 319 people in 73 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]

After the census, the name of the district was changed to Zalaqi District.[4]
