Pol-e Dokhtar County (Persian : شهرستان پلدختر ) is in Lorestan province, Iran . Its capital is the city of Pol-e Dokhtar .[ 3]
History
After the 2016 National Census, the village of Sarab Hammam was elevated to the status of a city.[ 4]
In April 2023, Mamulan District was separated from the county in the establishment of Mamulan County . Jelogir Rural District was separated from the Central District in the formation of Bala Geriveh District , which was divided into two rural districts, including the new Jayedar-e Jonubi Rural District . Jayedar Rural District was renamed Jayedar-e Shomali Rural District .[ 5]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 census, the county's population was 74,537 in 16,278 households.[ 6] The following census in 2011 counted 75,327 people in 19,276 households.[ 7] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 73,744 in 21,303 households.[ 2]
