Pol-e Dokhtar County (Persian: شهرستان پلدختر) is in Lorestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Pol-e Dokhtar.[3]

History

After the 2016 National Census, the village of Sarab Hammam was elevated to the status of a city.[4]

In April 2023, Mamulan District was separated from the county in the establishment of Mamulan County. Jelogir Rural District was separated from the Central District in the formation of Bala Geriveh District, which was divided into two rural districts, including the new Jayedar-e Jonubi Rural District. Jayedar Rural District was renamed Jayedar-e Shomali Rural District.[5]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 census, the county's population was 74,537 in 16,278 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 75,327 people in 19,276 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 73,744 in 21,303 households.[2]
