Raihat adalah sebuah Kecamatan di Kabupaten Belu, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Indonesia. Kecamatan ini berjarak sekitar 38 Km ke arah timur dari Kota Atambua. Ibu kotanya berada di Haekesak, Desa Tohe. Kecamatan Raihat berbatasan langsung dengan negara Timor Leste.

Geografi

Luas dan pembagian wilayah

Wilayah Kecamatan Raihat terletak di daratan Pulau Timor. Kecamatan Raihat termasuk dalam wilayah Kabupaten Belu.[1] Luas wilayah Kecamatan Raihat adalah 87,20 km2.[2] Wilayah Kecamatan Raihat terbagi menjadi 6 desa hingga tahun 2022.[3] Keenam desanya ialah Aitoun, Asumanu, Maumutin, Raifatus, Tohe, dan Toheleten.[1] Luas wilayah masing-masing desa di Kecamatan Raihat sebagai berikut:[2]

Batas-batas wilayah

Sebanyak 3 desa di Kecamatan Raihat berbatasan langsung dengan Timor Leste. Ketiga desa ini ialah Asumanu, Maumutin, dan Tohe.[4] Batas-batas wilayahnya adalah sebagai berikut:

Penduduk

Masyarakat Kecamatan Raihat mayoritas berbahasa Tetun, sebagian kecil berbahasa Kemak dan Bunak. Penduduk Raihat umumnya menganut agama Katolik. Paroki Haekesak mempunyai pelindung Santo Aloisius Gonzaga, diresmikan pada tanggal 21 Juni 2006 lalu. Beberapa Kapela besar dalam wilayah Raihat antara lain: Kapela Ninluli, Fatubeilou, Wilaen, Wetear, Derok, Turiskain dan Asueman.

Sumber daya air

Sumber air baku di Kecamatan Raihat diperoleh dari mata air yang berada di Desa Maumutin. Mata air ini bernama Mata Air Wesaseik. Debit air pada Mata Air Wesaseik sebesar 1,08 liter per detik.[5]

Pemanfaatan kawasan

Pariwisata

Kawasan pariwisata di Kecamatan Raihat terletak di Sumber Air We Bot dan Gua Kelelawar Tohe Leten.[6] Kecamatan Raihat juga memiliki objek wisata berupa kolam renang bernama Kolam Renang We Bot.[7]
