Nebula Laguna atau disebut juga Messier 8 atau M8 atau NGC 6523) adalah debu antar bintang di dalam rasi bintang Sagitarius, yang dikategorikan sebagai nebula emisi.

Nebula Laguna ditemukan oleh Guillaume Le Gentil pada tahun 1747 dan merupakan salah satu dari nebula yang terbentuh hanya dari dua bintang.

Karakteristik

Nebula Laguna diperkirakan berjarak 4,000 - 6,000 tahun cahaya dari bumi. Seperti banyak nebula lainnya, Lagoon Nebula berwarna merah muda di foto, tetapi berwarna abu-abu jika dilihat dengan teropong atau teleskop, karena mata manusia tidak terlalu sensitiv terhadap sinar yang lemah.
