Maleakhi 3 (disingkat Mal 3) adalah pasal ketiga Kitab Maleakhi dalam Alkitab Ibrani dan Perjanjian Lama di Alkitab Kristen. Memuat Firman Allah yang disampaikan dengan perantaraan Maleakhi.[1][2]

Teks

  • Naskah aslinya ditulis dalam bahasa Ibrani.
  • Pasal ini dibagi atas 18 ayat. Teks Masoret memasukkan seluruh pasal 4 ke dalam pasal 3 sehingga menjadi 24 ayat.
  • Berisi ucapan Ilahi (perkataan-perkataan Allah) yang diterima dan disampaikan oleh Maleakhi.

Ayat 1

Lihat, Aku menyuruh utusan-Ku, supaya ia mempersiapkan jalan di hadapan-Ku! Dengan mendadak Tuhan yang kamu cari itu akan masuk ke bait-Nya! Malaikat Perjanjian yang kamu kehendaki itu, sesungguhnya, Ia datang, firman TUHAN semesta alam. (TB)[6]

הנני שלח מלאכי ופנה־דרך לפני ופתאם יבוא אל־היכלו האדון ׀ אשר־אתם מבקשים ומלאך הברית אשר־אתם חפצים הנה־בא אמר יהוה צבאות׃

Ayat 1 catatan

  • "Masuk ke bait-Nya": Ketika menjawab ketidakpercayaan umat itu, Maleakhi menekankan kepastian kedatangan Mesias.[7]
  • "Malaikat Perjanjian" (="Utusan Perjanjian"): tersebut adalah Yesus sang Mesias.[7]

Ayat 16

Beginilah berbicara satu sama lain orang-orang yang takut akan TUHAN: "TUHAN memperhatikan dan mendengarnya; sebuah kitab peringatan ditulis di hadapan-Nya bagi orang-orang yang takut akan TUHAN dan bagi orang-orang yang menghormati nama-Nya."[8]

Bertentangan dengan mayoritas, masih ada beberapa orang yang menghormati Allah.

  • 1) Tuhan berjanji untuk memelihara suatu catatan permanen di sorga dari orang-orang yang menghormati dan takut akan Dia dengan hidup setia di hadapan-Nya; mereka tidak akan dilupakan.
  • 2) Bagian ini meyakinkan orang percaya bahwa Allah memperhatikan dan mencatat kesetiaan dan kasih mereka kepada-Nya. Bila mereka berdiri di hadapan-Nya di sorga, Ia akan mengingat ketekunan pengabdian mereka dan berlaku terhadap mereka sesuai dengan pengabdian itu.[7]
