Liquiçá

Liquiçá (Tetum: Likisá) adalah sebuah kota pantai di Timor Leste, 32 km sebelah barat Dili, ibu kota negara itu. Liquiçá adalah ibu kota Distrik Liquiçá. Kotanya dihuni oleh sekitar 19.000 penduduk.

Pada 6 April 1999, dalam kampanye intimidasi dan kekerasan yang mendahului referendum untuk kemerdekaan Timor Leste, sekitar 200 orang dibunuh di dalam Pembantaian Gereja Liquiçá, ketika anggota-anggota milisi Besi Merah Putih, yang didukung oleh militer dan polisi Indonesia, menyerang gereja itu. (Jumlah korban ini disangkal oleh pihak Indonesia).

Menjelang referendum, sebagian besar bangunan di kota ini dihancurkan. Hanya beberapa bangunan saja dari masa Portugis dan Indonesia yang tinggal.

Kebanyakan penduduknya berbahasa Tocodede.
