Lapangan Karebosi (Makassar: ᨒᨄᨂ ᨀᨑᨙᨅᨚᨔᨗ), dahulu bernama Koningsplein, adalah sebuah lapangan olahraga dan ruang publik masyarakat yang terdapat di pusat Kota Makassar.[1] Lapangan Karebosi ini merupakan landmark (simbol ternama) di pusat kota Makassar selain Pantai Losari.[2]

Lapangan Karebosi ini terletak kurang dari 500 meter dari Benteng Fort Rotterdam.[3] Terletak di Jl. Ahmad Yani, Kota Makassar,[3] Lapangan ini memiliki luas sekitar 11,29 hektare atau setara dengan 112.900 meter persegi.[3]

Fungsi

Secara umum, Lapangan Karebosi berfungsi sebagai pusat olahraga, namun lapangan ini juga dipersamakan sebagai alun-alun kota di Indonesia. Hal yang membedakan Karebosi dengan alun-alun pada umumnya ialah adanya mall.
