Hubungan Jepang dengan Jerman

Hubungan Jepang dan Jerman didirikan pada 1860 dengan kunjungan kedutaan besar pertama ke Jepang dari Prusia (sebelum pembentukan Kekaisaran Jerman pada 1871). Jepang yang melakukan modernisasi setelah Restorasi Meiji pada 1867, sering menggunakan model-model Jerman dalam pertukaran kebudayaan dan pengetahuan. Setelah 1900, Jepang bersekutu dengan Inggris, dan Jerman dan Jepang menjadi bermusuhan pada Perang Dunia I. Jepang mendeklarasikan perang kepada Jerman pada 1914
