Delhi Metro

Elattuvalapil Sreedharan adalah seorang insinyur sipil India dan pensiunan pejabat Layanan Teknik India yang lebih dikenal sebagai "Metro Man". Ia dikenal karena mengubah wajah transportasi publik di India idengan kepemimpinannya dalam pembangunan Konkan Railway dan Delhi Metro saat ia menjabat sebagai direktur manajer Delhi Metro antara 1995 dan 2012.[2] Ia dianugerahi Padma Shri oleh Pemerintah India pada 2001,[3] Padma Vibhushan pada 2008,[4] Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur[3] pada 2005 oleh pemerintah Prancis dan diangkat menjadi salah satu Pahlawan Asia oleh majalah TIME pada 2003.[5][6] Saat ini, Sreedharan diangkat oleh Sekjen PBB Ban Ki-moon untuk menjabat di Kelompok Penasehat Tingkat Tinggi PBB untuk Transportasi Layak selama periode tiga tahun. Ia juga merupakan anggota Mata Vaishno Devi Shine Board[7]
