艾索倫電力公司（英語：Exelon Corporation）是美國一家公共事業控股公司，也是美國目前最大的核電公司。其擁有10座發電廠，每年發電可達到1.8萬兆瓦，佔美國核電力發電量的20%。它的子公司主要針對住宅、商業、工業和批發顧客從事電力的生產、 購買、 傳輸、發行和銷售。並同時針對住宅、商業和工業顧客從事分配和銷售天然氣業務。 ^[2]

歷史

艾索倫電力公司成立於2000年10月，由費城電力公司（英语：PECO Energy Company）（PECO Energy Company）及Unicom Corporation（英语：Unicom Corporation） 兩家電力公司合併而成。^[3] Unicom 的最早前身為芝加哥愛迪生公司（Chicago Edison Company），1907年與聯邦電力（Commonwealth Electric）合併，成為聯邦愛迪生公司（Commonwealth Edison Company，ComEd）。後來，聯邦愛迪生公司又經數次合併成為 Unicom。^[4] 此次合併在 Unicom 的首席執行官John Rowe（英语：John Rowe (Exelon)） 的監督下進行。John Rowe 自1998年加入 Unicom，並最終在新組成的艾索倫電力中擔任領導角色直至2012年，並為此成為全美國任期最長的能源公司領導層行政人員。^[5][3][6]

在 John Rowe 的領導下，艾索倫電力探索過數項合併和併購方案。2005年6月30日，美國能源部轄下的聯邦能源管理委員會（英语：Federal Energy Regulatory Commission）（Federal Energy Regulatory Commission）批准了 艾索倫電力與來自新澤西州的能源公司，大眾服務企業集團（英语：Public Service Enterprise Group Inc.）（Public Service Enterprise Group Inc.，PSEG）之間的合併。若此合併案成功執行，艾索倫電力將即成為全美國最大的能源企業。^[7]不過，兩家公司最終由於新澤西州的公益團體，如「新澤西公民行動」（New Jersey Citizen Action），向新澤西州公用事務委員會（NJ Board of Public Utilities）施壓而中斷了合併案。^[8][9] 合併案於新澤西州公用事務委員會下待批了十九個月後，最終艾索倫電力表示「正在打一仗將敗的仗」（“fighting a losing battle”）而作罷。^[8]

另一項合併案為於2011年4月28日，艾索倫電力宣佈以79億美元併購美國聯合能源公司（Constellation Energy）。完成併購後的艾索倫電力公司將擁有34,000兆瓦的發電容量。其中百份之55為核電，百份之24為天然氣發電，百份之8為可再生能源包括水力發電，百份之7為燃油發電及百份之6為燃煤發電。^[10][11] 合併最終於2012年3月12日完成。^[12] 2012年，艾索倫電力宣佈取消建造位於德克薩斯州維多利亞的維多利亞縣核電站（Victoria County Station）。艾索倫表示有鑑於目前天然氣處於較低的價格，站在經濟及市場利潤的角度，不論現在還是可見將來，建造新的商業核能發電站變得不乎合經濟力益及缺乏競爭力。（"Construction of new merchant nuclear power plants in competitive markets uneconomical now and for the foreseeable future"）^[13]

艾索倫產能（Exelon Generation）

艾索倫產能（Exelon Generation）是艾索倫電力旗下的能源供應商。其下有兩大主要業務部門，分別為艾索倫核能（Exelon Nuclear）及艾索倫能源（Exelon Power）。^[14]

艾索倫核能 Exelon Nuclear

攝於2005年，艾索倫核能旗下位於伊利諾伊州的Byron 核電站（Byron Nuclear Generating Station），可見其核島及冷卻塔。

攝於2019年9月，艾索倫核能旗下的三哩島核電廠（Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station），可見其核島及冷卻塔。旁邊附有艾索倫的訓練中心（Exelon training center）及模擬器大樓（Simulator building）。

艾索倫核能目前為美國國內最大核能供應商，發電容量共19,000兆瓦。 ^[15]

2016年12月，伊利諾伊州立法機關投票表決通過立法以確保 Quad Cities 及 Clinton nuclear power plants 兩座核電站的持續營運。此兩座核電站共佔伊利諾伊州內低排放電力中約23%。議案最終獲得通過，並成功保存兩座核電站得以繼續運行之外，亦可保留伊利諾伊州內每年約12億美元的年度開支。^[16] 2016年8月，艾索倫同意從 Entergy Corporation 購買James A. FitzPatrick 核能發電廠。^[17]而艾索倫此前已於2017年3月31日取得了James A. FitzPatrick 核能發電廠的擁有權及營運權。^[18]

艾索倫能源 Exelon Power

艾索倫擁有及運行相當數量的使用化石燃料及可再生能源或其他方式發電的設施和發電站，總計發電容量接近12,400兆瓦的發電量。 其使用的燃料或方式包括燃煤、天然气、水力發電、太陽能發電、風力發電、沼氣發電、燃油發電等。^[14]

Constellation, an Exelon Company, provides energy sales in deregulated markets, known as competitive energy sales, to business, residential and government customers across the United States. Their customers include two-thirds of Fortune 100 companies.^[30]

Atlantic City Electric

Atlantic City Electric is a regulated utility located in New Jersey with 545,000 electric customers.^[31]

Baltimore Gas and Electric

Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) is a regulated utility located in Maryland with 1.25 million+ electric customers and 650,000+ natural gas customers.^[32]

Commonwealth Edison

Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) is regulated utility located in Illinois with 4 million electric customers.^[33]

Delmarva Power

Delmarva Power is a regulated utility located in Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland with 515,000 electric customers over 5,000 square miles of service territory. They provide natural gas to 130,000 customers in northern Delaware.^[34]

Philadelphia Electric Company

Philadelphia Electric Company (PECO) is regulated utility located in eastern Pennsylvania with 1.6 million electric customers and more than 500,000 natural gas customers.^[35]

Potomac Electric Power Company

Potomac Electric Power Company (PEPCO) is a regulated utility in Washington, D.C. that serves 842,000 electric customers in the district and parts of Maryland.^[36]

Exelon Transmission Company
