美國疾病管制與預防中心（英語：Centers for Disease Control and Prevention，縮寫为CDC）是美国卫生及公共服务部所属的一个机构，总部设在乔治亚州亚特兰大。作为美国联邦政府行政机构，为保护公众健康和安全提供可靠的资料，通过与国家卫生部门及其他组织的有力的伙伴关系，以增进健康的决策，促进公民健康。该中心的重点在于发展和应用疾病预防和控制、环境卫生、职业健康、促进健康、预防及教育活动，旨在提高美國人民的健康。

美国疾病控制与预防中心成立于1946年7月1日，是国防部防疟活动办公室^[1]的第二次世界大战战区疟疾控制计划^[2]的继承者。

在其成立之前，在國際上具有瘧疾控制影響力的組織是國際聯盟瘧疾委員會和洛克菲勒基金會^[3]。 洛克菲勒基金會（Rockefeller Foundation）大力支持瘧疾控制^[3] ，力圖讓政府接管其一些工作，並與該機構合作^[4]。

組織

领导

大眾文化與爭議

華盛頓特區飲用水中的鉛污染

由於華盛頓特區飲用水中的鉛污染，美國眾議院進行了一項調查，結果發現疾病預防控制中心在一份報告中表明鉛含量高沒有風險 - 儘管情況恰恰相反^[22]。

艾滋病危機

疾病預防控制中心對1980年代艾滋病危機的應對措施受到批評，原因是它提出了一些傷害人類免疫缺陷病毒阳性的人群的公共衛生政策，並提供了無效的公共教育。

2001年炭疽襲擊
