生平

早年生活

黛安娜·羅絲出生於密歇根州底特律[5]。黛安娜·羅絲從來沒有見過她的父親，直到父親從第二次世界大戰回國及退役。

很多人曾爭論她的名字應該由“a”還是“e”來作結尾。據黛安娜·羅絲回憶，她的母親給她取名“Diane”，但因為之後一個筆誤，她的出生證明名字被記錄為“Diana”。在家裡和學校，她仍然喜歡使用“Diane”稱呼自己。但後來大學年鑑把她的名字寫回“Diana”，再加上1963年，至上女声组合發布了他們的第一張專輯，列在專輯上面的是“Diana”而不是“Diane”，從此她便習慣稱自己作“Diana”，並開始向觀眾介紹自己為“Diana”。[6][7]
