Çin'deki İngiliz postaneleri

Çin'deki İngiliz postaneleri 19. yüzyılın sonu 20. yüzyılın başlarında Birleşik Krallık tarafından Çin'in çeşitli anlaşmalı limanlarında kurulmuş bulunan bir postaneler sistemiydi.

29 Ağustos 1842 Nanking Antlaşması'nın bir sonucu olarak Büyük Britanya 16 Nisan 1844 tarihinde beş adet konsolosluk posta acentesi açtı. Diğer beş acente daha sonra açıldı.

  • Foochow (1844), iptal damgası işareti "F1" 1866-1885
  • Ningpo (1844), iptal damgası işareti "N1" 1866-1885
  • Şanghay (1844), iptal damgası işareti "S1" 1866-1885
  • Swatow (1861), iptal damgası işareti "S2" 1866-1885
  • Hankow (1872), iptal damgası işareti "D29" 1879-1885
  • Kiungchow (1873), iptal damgası işareti "D28" 1876-1885
  • Tiençin (1882)
  • Yantai (1903)

Başlangıçta mektuplar bu şehirlerde basit bir şekilde çuvallara dolduruldu ve Hong Kong'a taşındı. Orada "B62" damga işaretleriyle iptal edildiler ve daha sonra (1860/1870 ler) her bir ofis kendi posta damgalama işareti aletine sahip oldu.

Hong Kong'un posta pulları 1862'den beri kullanılıyordu, fakat 1 Ocak 1917'den sonra Honkg Kong pullarının üzeri "CHINA" yazısıyla damgalandı. Başlangıç damgalaması 1 sentten 10 dolara kadar 16 değerde sıralanıyordu. 1922'den sonra bir ilave 10 değer Multiple Script CA watermark ile ayrıca baskılandı.

Bütün postaneler 30 Kasım 1922 tarihinde kapatıldı.

Wei-Hai-Wei'deki yerleşim liman anlaşmasından farklı olarak kiralık bir yerdi. Buraya 24 Mayıs 1898 tarihinde yerleşildi ve yerel Wei-Ha-Wei ile damgalanan mektuplar daha sonra işlem görmek üzere Cornébé and Co. firması tarafından Yantai'ye taşındı. Bu durum Çin Liu Kung Tau Postanesi'nin Mart 1899 tarihinde açılmasına kadar sürdü. Bu firmanın yerini sonra İngiliz postanesi 1 Eylül 199 tarihinde aldı. İkinci İngiliz postanesi Port Edward'da 1904 yılında açıldı. "CHINA" işaretiyle damgalanmış Hong Kong pulları her iki postane yerleşimleri 1 Ekim 1930 tarihinde terkedilene kadar kullanımını devam ettirdi.
