Hippolyte Delehaye (d. 19 Ağustos 1859, Anvers - ö. 1 Nisan 1941, Etterbeek, Brüksel), Belçikalı cizvit ve kilise tarihçisi.

Kariyeri

1891 yılında Bollandistler Topluluğu'na üye olan Delehaye, 1892'de Analecta Bollandiana'nın yayımcısı olmuş ve 1912'de aynı topluluğun başkanlığını üstlenmiş ve bu görevi öldüğü tarih olan 1941'de değin sürdürmüştür. 50 yıllık kariyerinde 1000 adet kaynak edisyonu, denemeler ve makaleler yayınlayan Delehaye'nin en bilindik eseri Les Légendes hagiographiques bir klasik haline gelmiştir. Bu eserinde hagiografik metinleri inceleyen Delehaye, azizlerin efsanelerini eleştirel kaynak inceleme metoduyla değerlendirmektedir. Öne sürdüğü fikirleri ile hem bilim dünyasında hem kilise çevrelerinde sıkça tartışılan bu eser, kilise tarafından yasaklanmaktan Belçika'nın diplomatik bir biçimde olaya müdahale etmesi ile kıl payı kurtulmuştur.[1]
