Eve teasing

Eve teasing, cinsel taciz veya cinsel saldırı için kullanılan bir örtmecedir. Hindistan,[1][2] Pakistan,[3] Bangladeş[4] ve Nepal[5] başta olmak üzere Güney Asya'da kullanılır. "Havva" (Eve) adı, Kitâb-ı Mukaddes'in Adem ve Havva ile ilgili yaratılış öyküsüne gönderme yapar.[6] Gençlikte suçla ilgili bir sorun olarak kabul edilen,[7] ciddiyeti cinsel açıdan müstehcen sözlerden, halka açık yerlerde fırçalamaktan ve tacizden el yordamına kadar değişen bir cinsel saldırganlık biçimidir.[8][9][10] Hindistan Ulusal Kadın Komisyonu, ifadenin daha uygun bir terimle değiştirilmesini önerdi. Onlara göre terimin Hint İngilizcesindeki anlam kökenleri göz önüne alındığında, Havva'nın baştan çıkarıcı doğasına atıfta bulunur ve sorumluluğu kadına bir alay olarak yükler.[11] Kızlarla alay etmek, onlara yorum yapmak, onları taciz etmek ve kasıtlı olarak rahatsız etmek; "eve teasing" olarak adlandırılır.

Eve teasing genellikle kamusal alanlarda, sokaklarda ve toplu taşıma araçlarında meydana gelir.[12] Bölgeye yönelik bazı rehber kitaplar; kadın turistleri, muhafazakâr kıyafetler giyerek bu tür erkeklerin dikkatini çekmemeleri konusunda uyarmaktadır.[13][14] Bununla birlikte bu tür taciz, muhafazakâr kıyafet giyen Hint ve yabancı kadınlar tarafından bildirilmiştir.[15]
