Arap Kadri

Arap Kadri, Tekin Aral`ın öykülerini yazdığı, 70 ve 80’li yıllarda Fırt dergisinde yayımlanan, “Arap Kadri ve Tarzan” karikatürlerinde ve çizgi romanlarında mevcut karakterdir. İrfan Sayar, Nuri Kurtcebe ve Latif Demirci çizimlerini yapmıştır. Sürekli içtiği rakı, kıllı koskocaman göbeği, koca burnu, dizlerine kadar sarkan kirli beyaz donu, elinden ayırmadığı tesbihi, arkasına basarak giydiği yumurta topuklu rugan ayakkabısı gibi belirgin özellikleriyle sadık bir hayran kitlesi edinmiştir. Özgürlüğüne düşkün, kurallara uymayan bir adam olan Arap Kadri'nin, ormanda düzenli yaşayan Tarzan ile sürekli çatışması ana konudur.

Tekin Aral tipi yaratırken Üsküdar'da yaşayan, semtin kabadayısı ve bıçkını olan, ama haraç yemeyen, başkasının parasını gasp etmeyen, kavgacı, deli dolu birisi olan Arap Yaşar isimli bir tabela ressamından esinlendiğini belirtmiştir.[1]

Karakter 2023 yılında Emre Kavuk yönetmenliğinde çekilen Arap Kadri ve Tarzan sinema filmiyle beyaz perdeye uyarlanmıştır. Arap Kadri karakterini Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan canlandırmıştır.
