Tarihçe

Köyün Abhazca adı Maan Albuz olarak geçmektedir. Köyün adı, 1928 yılı kayıtlarında Efteni Elbuzbey olarak geçmektedir.[4]

Coğrafya

Köy, Düzce il merkezine 27 km, Gölyaka ilçe merkezine 5 km uzaklıktadır.[5]
