İvan Mihayloviç Sidorenko (Rusça: Ива́н Миха́йлович Сидоре́нко; 12 Eylül 1919 Çantsovo, Smolensk - 19 Şubat 1994 Kizlyar), bilinen en iyi Sovyet keskin nişancılarından biridir.[1] Onaylanmış olan 500 kadar asker veya subayı öldürmüştür.[2] Savaştaki diğer birçok Sovyet keskin nişancısı gibi teleskobik görüş ile donatılmış Mosin-Nagant kullanmıştır.[3]

II. Dünya Savaşı yılları

1941 yılında Sidorenko, topçu birliğinde ön yüzbaşı rütbesi ile Moskova Muharebesi'ne katıldı. Savaş devam ederken kendini keskin nişancılık konusunda geliştirdi. Kendini geliştirmesi ve bu geliştirmenin sonucun da elde ettiği yüksek başarı sayesinde komutanları tarafından diğer askerleri eğitmesine karar verildi. Sidorenko, ilk olarak askerlere taktiksel dersler verdi. Daha sonrasında ise onları yavaş bir şekilde operasyonların içine aldı. Sonrasında Sidorenko, 1. Baltık Cephesi'nde savaşan 1122. Alay'ın karargahına yardımcı komutan olarak atandı. Asıl görevi eğitim olmasına rağmen zaman zaman acemi askerlerin savaş tecrübesi kazanması için cepheye çıktı. Bunların birinde yangın çıkartan mermiler ile bir tane tank ile üç tane traktörü kullanılamaz hale getirdi. Bu keşif görevleri sırasında birkaç kez yaralandı ancak 1944'te Estonya'da aldığı yara onu savaş sonuna kadar hastanede kalmasına neden oldu. 4 Haziran 1944'te hâlâ iyileşmeye çalışırken Sovyetler Birliği Kahramanı madalyasını aldı. Bu olaydan sonra keskin nişancı eğitmeni olması dolayısıyla üstleri tarafından bir daha direkt olarak cephede bulunması yasaklandı.

Savaş sonunda 500 kadar düşman askeri öldürmüş ve 250'nin üzerinde keskin nişancı eğitmiştir.[1] En sonunda binbaşı rütbesini kazanıp Sovyetler Birliği'nin en iyi keskin nişancılarından biri olarak tanındı.

Savaş sonrası

Sidorenko, Kızıl Ordu'dan emekli olduktan sonra kömür madeninde ustabaşı olarak çalışmaya başladı ve 1974 tarihinde Dağıstan'a yerleşti.[1]
