Ang shōjo, shojo o shoujo (少女, shōjo) ay isang salitang Hapones na orihinal na nagmula sa isang ekspresyong Tsino na nakasulat din sa kaparehong panitik.[nb 1] Ang mga panitik ng Tsino na ( at ) na may literal na kahulugang bata/maliit at babae.[1] Sa Hapones, ang kanji nito ay partikular na tumutukoy sa batang babae na may edad na 7–18 taong gulang.[2] Maaaring isalin ang shōjo sa Wikang Tagalog na babae.[3]
