Ang Garuda (Sanskrit: गरुड garuḍa, "agila") ay isang malaking mitikal na ibon o tulad ng isang ibong nilalang na lumilitaw sa parehong mga mitolohiyang Hindu at Budista. Ang Garuda ang pangalang Hindu para sa konstelasyong Aquila. Ang saranggolang Brahminy at Phoenix ang itinuturing na mga kontemporaryong representasyon ng Garuda.[1] Ito ay isa ring pambansang simbolo ng Indonesia na kinakatwan nito bilang isang agilang Javanese .[2]

Sa Pilipinas, ang apelyidong Galúrâ sa Wikang Kapampangan na ang ibig sabihin ay higanteng agila o kapampangan phoenix ay hinango sa sanskritong Garuda [3]. Pinaniniwalaan din ng mga Maranao na may mga nilalang na ang ngalan ay garuda na nasa ilalim ng dagat nakatira.
