Ang Barzio (Valsassinese Lombardo: Bàrs) ay isang comune (komuna o munisipalidad) sa Lalawigan ng Lecco, rehiyon ng Lombardy, hilagang Italya, na matatagpuan sa Valsassina mga 60 kilometro (37 mi) hilagang-silangan ng Milan at mga 12 kilometro (7 mi) hilagang-silangan ng Lecco.
Storia
Noong panahong Romano, dumaan ang Via Spluga sa Barzio, isang kalsadang Romano na nag-uugnay sa Milan sa Lindau na dumadaan sa Pasong Spluga.
Noong Gitnang Kapanahunan, ang tinatawag na "Sibil at kriminal na batas ng pamayanang Valsassinese" ay ipinatupad sa Barzio.[5]
Sa fiefdom ng pamilya Della Torre, sa ilalim ng Dukado ng Milan, ang Barzio ay pagkatapos ay enfeof kay Facino Cane (1409) at, maglaon, kay Medeghino.[6]
