Pobrežník krivozobý[2] (Calidris ferruginea) je druh vtáka z čeľade slukovité (Scolopacidae). Hniezdi vo východnej palearktíde, zimuje na pobreží v Ázii, Austrálii a v Afrike. Migruje aj cez vnútrozemie. Na Slovensku je bežný migrant, zastavuje sa na rôznych bahnitých brehoch jazier a rybníkov. Bol zistený v 8,90 % mapovacích kvadrátov. Jarná migrácia prebieha v máji. Jesenná migrácia dospelých začína od júla, v auguste a v septembri tiahnu mládé vtáky.[3] Podľa Medzinárodnej únie na ochranu prírody a prírodných zdrojov pobrežník krivozobý patrí medzi takmer ohrozené druhy, trend celkovej populácie sa dá u tohoto druhu len ťažko zistiť. Približne 11 – 12% svetovej populácie zimuje v oblasti Austrálie a Nového Zélandu, výskumy v tejto oblasti ukázali pokles 80.5% populácie za obdobie troch generácií. Tento trend môže byť považovaný za reprezentatívny, hoci nie je bezvýhradne prijatý.[1]
