Viterbo is a very old city and a comune in the Lazio region of Central Italy, the capital of the province of Viterbo.

Viterbo is a very old city and a comune in the Lazio region of Central Italy, the capital of the province of Viterbo.
The University of Tuscia, established in 1979, is in the city of Viterbo.
Geography
The comune of Viterbo has an area of 406.23 km2 (156.85 sq mi), the largest comune of the province, and its altitude is 326 m (1,070 ft) above sea level.[4]
The comune borders with the comuni Bagnoregio, Bomarzo, Canepina, Caprarola, Celleno, Civitella d'Agliano, Graffignano, Marta, Monte Romano, Montefiascone, Ronciglione, Soriano nel Cimino, Tuscania, Vetralla, Vitorchiano.[6]
