Hi, I saw you mentioned on the article drive page that you're interested in collecting sources. I was wondering, as you've been so helpful to me since I joined, if you could assist me and go over the Star Trek page I've been working on and give me a few pointers on what sources I might need and where? If you do have time, this would be a massive help to me and my drive to get the Star Trek pages all cleaned up, and would help me know where to put in sources in other pages. :) FrancesO (talk) 11:54, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As to the fires - the main fire is still burning after a month, two firefighters were hurt yesterday when they rolled their firetruck. It is raining today, the first rain here for over two months, so this might help, but there is a lot of lightning which will probably start new fires. The kids at school were out dancing in the rain - it has become a novelty.Peterdownunder (talk) 07:17, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I saw that you had deleted Nebuchadrezzar II as an unlikely spelling of Nebuchadnezzar II. Unfortunately other language Wikipedias link to the old -rezzar spelling. Do you know if there is a bot that updates these links? I know that there is a bot that adds these links, but I don't know if it checks for any changes. Thank you. Why did you revert my changes? It is of the utmost importance that the world know I ate a salad for supper, just as knowing an editor pressed the "save" button 40,000 times. Aiuw (talk) 02:52, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
you have got to get it in your mind that im 10! you will regret it later when your cussing at me for some random reason on here thinking im 17, and i will be crying. i was greatly offended when you said you thought i wasnt 10 because pepole can never get that out of there heads when they hear that and then they cuss at me and cyberbully me later!!
i swear i saw it a mintue ago then i replyed then when i came back it was GONE. can you put it back for me? Miyalana (talk) 08:50, 12 March 2009 (UTC) EDIT: dont worry its back, must have been a small error,[reply]
Hey Fr33kman, I don't want you to think that I'm bashing your idea on the Simple talk page. I have a weird feeling it came off that way, and I don't want it to. It's a great idea, I just want to flesh it out some more.
Respectfully, DefenseSupportParty (talk) 10:48, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was reading Simple Talk when I got your message. What a day - looks like I should stay home and not go to work just to keep up! Half the time I'm not sure I know what they are arguing about. If someone wants to spend their time making nice icons I think that's great, but I'm not going to get stressed about it. And I know you and I will disagree on fair use images, but I'd rather be editing than fighting - some of these battles just don't seem that critical. The one interesting point that Razorflame made was having discussion pages under topics rather than a rambling simple talk - might help keep some sort of continuity in the discussions.
We have had a bit of rain here so the fires (which are still going) are now under control - I can't smell smoke anymore. The police think they have found enough bodies to match with all the people listed as missing, so the death toll is 210, but there are some fairly badly burnt people in hospital.
Anyhow I'm off to read your new instructions on importing pages, best wishes from OZ Peterdownunder (talk) 06:17, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Trust me... lol... I'd rather edit than fight. That's why I waved the white flag today... I'm so sick and tired of this bickering. Take care, obentomusubi 06:49, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for regranting me rollback. I shall not abuse the privilege. Regarding icons, what do you think about changing the icon from the current one to ? Which is easier on the eyes to you? obentomusubi 06:12, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Was it decided somewhere that we should removed the RFDs on the user categories because of the discussion on Simple Talk? I don't see where this was decided. Unless there is clear consensus to do so, please restore these RFDs. the RFDs are wholly separate from the Simple talk discussion. Even if we decide at ST to keep user categories, there still seems to be consensus to delete these particular categories. Either way (talk) 21:03, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
As someone who has previously expressed an interest in Wikimedia UK, you may be interested that the chapter has now re-formed and we are ready to elect a new Board to focus on our new plans. There are many exciting ideas around for things we can do, including content access partnerships, generating free content photographs and media relations in the UK. However, these all need the support of members like yourself! You can join up here, donate here and get involved here. Join before 24th April and you can help elect our new Board. Come along to our AGM in Manchester on 26th to help set our priorities. Other ways of keeping in touch are set out here. Hope to hear from you soon! AndrewRT (talk) 22:51, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
