The page presently has the following statement:
Hamas claims it has created social networks for supporting the "poor" in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, to hide their terrorist activities. [Italics mine]
The use of quotation marks around the word "poor" is inappropriate: the poverty is related to the extremely high-density population in the Gaza Strip and lack of economic opportunities there as well as in the West Bank under its long-term military occupation by Israel. I am rewriting this passage accordingly. -- Deborahjay 21:40, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
At the start, the article was a snippet from en:Hamas. I think that article will still provide enough material for extending this one, but of course, any citeable source can be used. --Eptalon 21:47, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
An unnamed user added questionable changes to the page on 14 September [1], I don’t think this is neutral. -Deppty (talk) —Comment without a date added on 19:06, 3 April 2022
A section of the article says "Hamas has shown its organizational ability by building health, education, and social services to help the population in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, where there is much poverty. Such efforts have increased its support."
This is, indeed, verified in the source, which says that Hamas became popular among Palestinians partly because of its social projects. However, this source is from 2010 and a more recent source may be needed. Kk.urban (talk) 03:32, 19 November 2023 (UTC)

NorthernWinds, the source you added in Special:Diff/10378505 to cite the claim Particularly, Columbia University's SJP chapter posted an instant story about the Hamas-led attack on October 7, 2023 three minutes before it happened
does not say that. Instead, it says
The suit also references a post on Columbia SJP’s Instagram account three minutes before the Hamas onslaught began, which stated: “We are back!!” after months of inactivity. The post encouraged followers to “stay tuned”.
Someone may think this is suspicious, but it is misleading to say, as a statement of fact, that this is "instant story about the Hamas-led attack". This story may be evidence of that, but is not a fact in itself. 65.182.226.56 (talk) 18:47, 7 July 2025 (UTC)

@Polygnotus in this edit you have removed relevant information from an ADL poll. I think it deserves space in this page. Could you explain the rationale behind removing it? Also, you have removed an external link to islam and facism article. Cosidering Hamas's old charter, I think it should be linked here as well NorthernWinds (talk) 12:07, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
An ADL global poll in 2024 found that 97% of Palestinians held deeply entrenched antisemitic beliefs. As you can imagine, the ADL clearly has a dog in this fight, they've been criticized because people say they conflate criticism of Israel with antisemitism. If you look at en:Anti-Defamation_League#Anti-Zionism_and_antisemitism you'll see that the CEO, Jonathan Greenblatt, said that "anti-Zionism is antisemitism". And you'll find few Palestinians who are Zionists, for obvious reasons. Note also that the 97% number can't be true because of simple demographics and the fact that a baby can't express an opinion on the topic of antisemitism. The enwiki article explains it quite well, e.g.
The ADL supported a December 5, 2023, US Congress resolution that described anti-Zionism as antisemitism.[14] The ADL and "many other Jewish establishment organizations" have campaigned for governments to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of antisemitism, which describes anti-Zionism and some forms of criticism of Israel as antisemitic, according to The Guardian.Note that the consensus on enwiki is that
There is consensus that the ADL is a generally unreliable source for the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, due to significant evidence that the ADL acts as a pro-Israeli advocacy group and has repeatedly published false and misleading statements as fact, un-retracted, regarding the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. The general unreliability of the ADL extends to the intersection of the topics of antisemitism and the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.See en:WP:ADLPIA. There are more reasons of course but this may be a good start. They are polling people they perceive to be their enemy, so they are unlikely to say "We polled Palestinians and while they criticized the country of Israel they were remarkable polite and fair about Israelis and Jewish people. While we have some minor disagreements we feel we share a deep connection, and love."
Nobody tells us what to say,” said Bishara, a Palestinian Christian who lives in Qatar, though “sometimes the newspaper might be sensitive about what not to say, because you are not there to provoke the people that finance you.” He is described as the closest advisor to the emir of Qatar. If we look at more reliable sources you'll find that, despite the fact that protesting against Hamas is very dangerous, they are known for torturing Palestinians who do not like them, there have been massive protests against Hamas.[3][4]
