Hylodes is a genus of frogs in the family Hylodidae.[1][2] Scientists believe these frogs live in the same places as Megaelosia. These frogs live in southeastern Brazil. In English, people call them tree toads or torrent frogs, even though other frogs are also called torrent frogs.[1] They are active during the day and usually swim in shallow mountain streams.[3]

Species

The following species are in Hylodes:[1][2]

Nota bene: When the scientists' names are in parentheses, that means that the frog species was originally placed in a genus other than Hylodes and moved into Hylodes later.
