Benjamin Ozegovic (born August 9, 1999, in Velika Kladuša, Bosnia and Herzegovina) is an Austrian football goalkeeper of Bosnian descent. He plays as goalkeeper for the 2nd league club FC Liefering.
began his career at SK Sturm Graz. For the 2013/14 season, he moved to the FK Austria Wien academy. After three years in the Austria academy, he went to SCR Altach. [1] He made his debut for Altach's reserve team in the Regionalliga in July 2016. He was in the starting team against SV Wörgl in the first round of the Regionalligaseason.
After 53 appearances for the reserve team, he made his Bundesliga debut for the senior squad in March 2020 against FC Admira Wacker Mödling. He came in as a substitute for Anderson in the 10th minute after starting goalkeeper Martin Kobras had been sent off.
He left Altach after four seasons and joined WSG Tirol. [2]Over four seasons with WSG, he made 21 Bundesliga appearances. He left the club after the 2023/24 season. In September 2024, he then moved to the second-division club FC Liefering. [3]
He made his debut for the Austrian U-17 team against Iceland in March 2016. That same year, he also participated in the European Championship with the squad. Ozegovic played in three of the team's four matches during the tournament.
In September 2016, he made his debut for the U-18 team against Belgium. Between August 2017 and March 2018, he made two appearances for the U-19 team.
