2023 Swiss federal election

Federal elections were held in Switzerland on 22 October 2023 to elect all members of the National Council and Council of States.^[1][2] The elections will be followed by elections to the Federal Council, Switzerland's collective government and presidency, on 13 December.^[3]

The Swiss People's Party (SVP), which was in favour of Energy Security and against immigration, did well in the elections. Meanwhile, the Green and Green Liberal Parties didn't perform well.^[4][5]

The SVP part which had campaigned heavily by opposing migration, performed strongly.^[6]
