ftalilamid + H₂O ${\displaystyle \rightleftharpoons }$ ftalna kiselina + supstituisani amin

Enzim iz Xanthobacter agilis hidrolizuje ftalizovane aminokiseline, peptide, beta-laktame, aromatične i alifatične amine.
