Военно-воздушные силы Демократической Республики Конго (фр. Force Aérienne Congolaise) — один из видов Вооружённых сил Демократической Республики Конго.

Официальное название с 1971 по 1997 год — Военно-воздушные силы Заира (фр. Force Aérienne Zairoise).

Боевой состав

ВВС ВС ДРК разделены на две авиационные группы — 1-я (штаб в Киншасе) и 2-я (штаб в Камине). В этих авиагруппах — 9 эскадрилий[1].

Инциденты и катастрофы

  • В декабре 2006 года потерпел крушение конголезский Су-25, пилот которого, наёмник из Белоруссии О. П. Лихоткин, погиб[5].
  • В июне 2007 года упал другой Су-25, на котором погиб украинский наёмник А. А. Моргатов[5].
  • 27 февраля 2017 года в районе Рутшуру боевики-тутси сбили два вертолёта Ми-24. В составе экипажа находились двое грузинских наёмников и военные специалисты из Белоруссии. Все они выжили, но получили травмы.
