Conocephalinae (лат.) — подсемейство кузнечиков (Tettigoniidae). Встречаются во всех зоогеографических областях.

Описание

Кузнечики различных размеров, от мелких до крупных, длина тела от 1 см до 7 см. Голова сформирована в заостренный или округлый конус, выступающий за пределы базальных усиковых сегментов. Большинство видов имеют зеленую или желтовато-коричневую окраску тела, что позволяет хорошо маскироваться. Их можно обнаружить по пению или иногда по свету[1].
