Иван Мелников, 1890-ти

Иван Александрович Мелников (руски: Иван Александрович Мельников) (4 март 1832 – 8 јули 1906) бил руски баритонски оперски пејач.

Рани години и обука

Мелников бил обучуван како хор во младоста. Во 1861 година, тој започнал да учи со Гаврил Ломакин и учествувал од 1862 до 1866 година на концертите на Слободното музичко училиште, диригирани од Ломакин. Мелников ги продолжил студиите во Милано кај мајсторот за бел-канто, Е.Репето.[1]

Кариера

Во 1867 година, Мелников направил триумфално деби во Санкт Петербург на театарот „Мариински“, играјќи ја улогата на Рикардо во ''Јас путирани" на Белини. Мелников редовно се појавувал во Мариински, и во странска и во руска улога, и бил првиот толкувач на повеќе од десетина улоги во руската опера. Мелников пееl во секоја опера од Петар Илич Чајковски, освен во Јоланта, создавајќи улоги во четири опери на Чајковски: принцот Вјазмински во „Опричник“ (1874), ѓавол во Черевички (1886), принц Курљатев во „Волшебникот“ (1887) и Томски во „Волшебникот“ (1887) Кралицата на лопати (1890).[1]
