Ернст Штадлер

Ернст Штадлер (герм. Ernst Stadler), (11 август 1883 - 30 октомври 1914) е германски експресионистички поет. Роден е во Колмар, тогашна Елзас-Лотарингија and educated in Стразбур и Оксфорд. Во 1906 добил Родсова стипендија за студии на Магдалениниот колеџ при Оксфордскиот универзитет.

Во првите Штадлерови дела се гледа влијанието на Стефан Георге, но по 1911 г, Штадлер го менува правецот. Така, неговата првата поважна стихозбирка „Тргнување“ (Der Aufbruch) (1914) денес се смета за најзначајно дело од раниот експресионизам. Во стуихозбирката, авторот ја искажува радоста на животот во слободни стихови со долги редови, по примерот на Волт Витман.

Штадлер загинал во битка кај Зандворде близу Ипр (Белгија) на почетокот на Првата светска војна.
