Detroito „Pistons“ (angl. Detroit Pistons) – NBA Rytų konferencijos Vidurio pogrupio krepšinio komanda iš Detroito.

Istorija

(1941-1957) Fort Veino Zollner Pistons

Komanda buvo įkurta 1941 m. Fort Veine „Zolner Pistons“ vardu. Tuometinis komandos vadovas buvo Fredas Zolneris, kurio gamykla užsiemė stūmoklių (angl. pistons), gamyba. Būtent dėl šios priežasties komandai buvo duotas "Pistons" vardas.

"Zollner Pistons" tapo Nacionalinės krepšinio lygos (NBL) čempionais 1944 ir 1945 m. Komanda taip pat laimėjo Pasaulio profesionalaus krepšinio čempionatą (World Professional Basketball Tournament), kuris tuo metu buvo laikomas prestižiškiausiu krepšinio turnyru visame pasaulyje.

1948 m. komanda pakeitė pavadinimą į Fort Wayne Pistons ir tapo Amerikos krepšinio asociacijos (angl. BAA) nare.

1949 m. komanda tapo NBA nare.
