Amerikos lietuvių inžinierių ir architektų sąjunga

Amerikos Lietuvių Inžinierių ir Architektų Sąjunga – Amerikos lietuvių organizacija, įsteigta Niujorke 1950 m. vasario 24 d. – 1950 m. vasario 25 d. kaip Pasaulio lietuvių inžinierių ir architektų sąjungos (PLIAS) padalinys.

Veikla

Suvažiavimai šaukiami kas ketveri metai, juose renkama centro valdyba. Organizacija turi atstovybes Bostone, Čikagoje, Detroite, Denveryje, Niujorke ir Filadelfijoje. 1952 m. įsteigti stipendijų ir šalpos fondai. Organizuoja archititektų ir inžinierių projektų konkursus, parodas, rengia (su kitomis organizacijomis) mokslo ir kūrybos simpoziumus, kuria lietuvišką inžinerijos terminiją.

Niujorke leidžiamas organizacijos metraštis, kartu su Pasaulio Lietuvių Inžinierių ir Architektų Sąjunga nuo 1951 m. balandžio mėn. leidžiamas žurnalas „Technikos žodis“.

1992 m. sausio 17 d. ALIAS ir Lietuvos kultūros fondas nutarė įsteigti Medininkų pilies atstatymo fondą.

Pirmasis centro valdybos pirmininkas 1951–1952 m. Aleksandras Mačiūnas, nuo 1989 m. Albertas Kerelis.[1]
