La parolla la troeuvom soratutt in Italia del Nord (piemontes liam, ligur liamme, venet leame o loame, forlan ledan, emilian aldam), arent a alter sinonem, e in Toscana.
El termen grassa el se liga al verb "grassà" e l'è doperaa soratutt in Valtolina, anca per la vesinanza cont el romanc (indove che se dis grassa).
