ラルフ・メツナー。

ラルフ・メツナー（Ralph Metzner、1936年5月18日 - 2019年3月14日^[1]）アメリカ合衆国の心理学者、作家、また研究者で、ドイツに生まれ、1960年代初頭にはハーバード大学で、ティモシー・リアリーやリチャード・アルパート（英語版）（後にラム・ダスと改名）と共にサイケデリック研究に参加した。 メツナーは心理療法家、またカリフォルニア・インテグラル研究所（英語版）の名誉教授であり、ここで以前は学部長や副学長であった。^[2]

メツナーは、45年以上にわたり、幻覚剤、ヨガ、瞑想、シャーマニズムなど、意識の研究に関わっている。人間と地球の間の関係の癒しと調和をはかっている、非営利教育団体である緑の地球財団（Green Earth Foundation）の共同設立者また理事長であり^[3]、9/11真相運動に署名している^[4]。メツナーは2006年のドキュメンタリー映画『エンセオジェン・内なる神への気づき』（Entheogen: Awakening the Divine Within）で特集されている^[5]。

彼は国内外で、意識の変容と alchemical divination（メツナーによる精神変容訓練法^[6]、単語はそれぞれ、錬金術・占いの意味）のワークショップを実施している^[7]。詩人、シンガー・ソングライターであり、2枚のCDを出している。

ハーバード大学で心理学の博士号を取得した。
