Paradise Lost er ensk sveit sem spilar gotneskt þungarokk og dómsdagsmálm. Hún var stofnuð árið 1988 í Halifax í norður-Englandi og er talin meðal frumkvöðla dómsdagsmálms (doom metal). Liðskipan sveitarinnar hefur verið stöðug fyrir utan trommarastöðuna.

Með tímanum hefur stíl hljómsveitarinnar breyst. Hún fór frá dauðarokksröddum yfir í melódískari gotneskari stíl um miðbik 10. áratugar 20. aldar. Frá 1997 til um 2002 gerði sveitin tilraunir með melódískara rokk og rafrænni stíl í ætt við Depeche Mode. Platan One Second (1997) náði allnokkrum vinsældum í Þýskalandi og á Norðurlöndum.

Eftir 2005 hóf hljómsveitin afturhvarf til sinna fyrri stíla, dauðadoom og gotnesks málms.
