LHA 120-N 150

LHA 120-N 150 adalah awan kosmik dan gas bercahaya yang terletak sekitar 160.000 tahun cahaya di, Awan Magellan Besar. Ini adalah wilayah H II di tepi Nebula Tarantula, dikelilingi oleh bintang-bintang berkilau. LHA 120-N 150 dianggap sebagai rumah dari campuran bintang-bintang muda dan dan mungkin beberapa gumpalan debu. Nebula dikenal sebagai titik panas pembentukan bintang, dan wilayah khusus ini membantu para astronom mempelajari lebih lanjut tentang bagaimana bintang masif diciptakan.[1][2][3][4]

Teori menunjukkan bahwa bintang-bintang seperti itu harus terbentuk dalam gugus bintang, tetapi sekitar 10% dari yang ditemukan di LHA 120-N 150 tampaknya terbentuk dalam isolasi.[5][6][7]
