Komisi Komunikasi Federal (bahasa Inggris: Federal Communications Commission atau disingkat FCC) adalah Lembaga independen dari pemerintah Amerika Serikat, dibuat oleh undang-undang kongresional (lihat 47 U.S.C. § 151 dan 47 U.S.C. § 154), dan dengan mayoritas komisaris yang ditunjuk oleh Presiden saat ini. Pekerjaan FCC mengarah ke enam gol di bidang broadband, kompetisi, frekuensi radio, Media, keselamatan publik dan keamanan dalam negeri. Komisi ini juga dalam proses untuk modernisasi itu sendiri.[3]

FCC dibentuk oleh Communications Act of 1934 untuk menggantikan fungsi regulasi radio dari Federal Radio Commission. FCC mengambil alih kawat regulasi komunikasi dari Interstate Commerce Commission. Yurisdiksi mandat FCC mencakup 50 negara bagian, District of Columbia, dan Harta AS. FCC juga menyediakan beragam derajat kerjasama, pengawasan, dan kepemimpinan bagi tubuh komunikasi serupa di negara lain dari Amerika Utara. FCC didanai sepenuhnya oleh biaya regulasi. Ini memiliki perkiraan anggaran fiskal 2011 sebesar US$335.8 juta dan mengusulkan anggaran fiskal 2012 dari $354.2 juta. Lembaga ini memiliki 1.898 karyawan federal.[1]
