Gelar sarjana ganda

Program gelar sarjana ganda, sering juga disebut gelar ganda, gelar sarjana gabungan atau wisuda ganda, adalah program kuliah untuk mendapatkan dua gelar universitas secara paralel, baik di institusi pendidikan yang sama atau berbeda (kadang-kadang di negara yang berbeda) dan menyelesaikannya dalam waktu yang lebih singkat ketimbang harus menjalani kuliah satu per satu. Kedua gelar tersebut mungkin untuk bidang studi yang sama (terutama ketika program dibagi antar negara) atau untuk dua bidang studi yang berbeda.

Misalnya Universitas Indonesia (UI) dan Universitas Newcastle (NCL) di Inggris. UI adalah salah satu universitas pertama di Indonesia yang menawarkan program sarjana gelar ganda yang pertama kali diperkenalkan di Fakultas Kedokteran Diarsipkan 2021-09-03 di Wayback Machine. (FKUI) dengan skema 3+1. Mahasiswa akan menerima gelar Sarjana Kedokteran (S.Ked) dari UI dan satu lagi gelar Master of Research (MRes) dari NCL bersama dengan gelar Doctor of Medicine (MD), yang diperoleh selama tahap profesional. Program ini dianggap sebagai fast track karena mahasiswa dapat mengejar gelar sarjana dan pascasarjana mereka hanya dalam jangka waktu empat tahun. Mahasiswa yang kurang tertarik melakukan penelitian diberikan pilihan untuk melanjutkan studi mereka di Universitas Melbourne dan Universitas Monash, keduanya berada di Australia dan mendapatkan gelar BMedSc. Didirikan sejak 1999, program gelar ganda Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia ini hanya tersedia dalam bahasa Inggris di UI's International Classes Diarsipkan 2021-09-03 di Wayback Machine..

Fakultas lain di Universitas Indonesia seperti Hukum, Teknik, Komunikasi, dan Bisnis juga memiliki Skema 2+2 mereka sendiri yang menawarkan program gelar sarjana ganda dengan dua gelar sarjana paralel di bidang yang sama atau terkait. Fakultas-fakultas ini bekerja sama dengan Universitas Nasional Singapura, Universitas Queensland, Universitas Birmingham dan Universitas Groningen. Seiring dengan berkembangnya reputasi program sarjana ganda, lebih dari 30 universitas mitra telah menandatangani MoU untuk memberikan gelar sarjana ganda dengan UI, sehingga mahasiswa memiliki keleluasaan untuk memutuskan di mana mereka ingin menyelesaikan sisa waktu studi mereka sesuai dengan kualifikasi, IPK, dan minat mereka.
