Albert Szent-Györgyi de Nagyrápolt (16 September 1893 – 22 Oktober 1986), seorang biokimiawan Amerika kelahiran Hungaria, adalah tokoh pertama yang mengisolasi vitamin C, dan penelitiannya pada oksidasi biologi menjadi dasar siklus asam sitrat Krebs. Penemuannya pada sifat biokimia kontraksi otot merevolusionerkan bidang penelitian otot. Karier terakhirnya dicurahkan untuk penelitian dalam biologi "submolekuler", menerapkan fisika kuantum pada proses biologis. Ia khususnya tertarik dalam kanker, dan merupakan tokoh pertama yang menjelajah hubungan antara radikal bebas dan kanker. Szent-Györgyi memenangkan Penghargaan Nobel dalam Fisiologi atau Kedokteran 1937 untuk karyanya pada oksidasi biologis dan vitamin C, dan Albert Lasker Award for Basic Medical Research pada 1954, untuk sumbangan pada pemahaman penyakit kardiovaskular melalui penelitian otot dasar.
