איאן אלכסנדר (באנגלית: Ian Alexander; נולד ב-20 באפריל 2001) הוא שחקן אמריקאי, הידוע בשל תפקידו כבאק וו בסדרת הטלוויזיה "The OA".

ביוגרפיה

אלכסנדר נולד בסולט לייק סיטי, יוטה,[1] לאב קווקזי ואם ממוצא וייטנאמי שהיגרה לארצות הברית מווייטנאם.[2] בשל עבודתו של אביו עם מחלקת ההגנה, משפחתו עברה דירה לעיתים קרובות, והם התגוררו במקומות כמו הוואי, וושינגטון די. סי. ויפן.[3] במהלך בית הספר היסודי הוא היה משתתף בתיאטרון הקהילתי ובמקהלה. הוא זכה לתשומת לב ויראלית ברשת בשל תגובתו הצילומית לאירוע טרנספובי שביצעו ארבעה סטודנטים באוניברסיטת UCLA.[4]

אף שגדל במשפחה מורמונית, הוא אינו חבר בזרם זה.[5] הוא יצא מהארון כטרנסג'נדר לראשונה בשנת 2014,[6] משתמש בכינויי הגוף they/them, ומזדהה כא-בינארי וכפאנסקסואל.[7][8]

קריירה

ביוני 2019, לציון 50 שנה למהומות סטונוול, שהציתו את תחילתה של תנועת הזכויות הלהט"בית המודרנית, מגזין Queerty כלל אותו ברשימת ה-Pride50 שלו: "אנשים פורצי דרך המבטחים באופן פעיל את החברה עדיין נעים לעבר שוויון, קבלה וכבוד לכל האנשים הקווירים."[15] באופן דומה, אלכסנדר היה אחד מכוכבי השער של גיליון הגאווה של מגזין "them." בשנת 2019, "בהבלטת שלושה אמנים קווירים בעלייה שעבודתם וחייהם סוללים דרך חדשה עבור נראות הלהטב"ק+".[16] איאן אלכסנדר יככב גם בסרט העצמאי "Daughter" לצד קספר ואן דיין.[17]
