אמוג'י החציל כפי שהוא מופיע בטוויטר.

אמוג'י החציל (🍆) הוא אמוג'י שמכיל חציל סגול. זהו אחד האמוג'ים הנמצאים בשימוש באתרי מדיה חברתית כגון פייסבוק, טוויטר ואינסטגרם. האמוג'י מוכר בעיקר בזכות המראה הפאלי שלו, ונעשה בו שימוש תכוף בתור לשון נקייה לאיבר המין הגברי בזמן שיחות סקסטינג.

היסטוריה

אמוג'י החציל נכלל במקור בערכות אמוג'י קנייניות של החברות היפניות SoftBank Mobile ו-au by KDDI (אנ').[1] כאשר חברת אפל הוציאה את האייפון הראשון בשנת 2007, הייתה בו מקלדת אמוג'ים שהייתה מיועדת למשתמשים יפניים בלבד.[2] עם זאת, לאחר שמשתמשי אייפון בארצות הברית גילו שהורדת אפליקציות יפניות מאפשרת גישה למקלדת האמוג'ים, נוצר לחץ לאפשר גישה למקלדת האמוג'ים לשאר העולם.[2]

ב-2010, אמוג'י החציל נוסף ליוניקוד באופן רשמי כחלק מ-Unicode 6.0, תחת השם "Aubergine".[3] הקוד של האמוג'י הוא 1F346. בשנת 2011, חברת אפל הוסיפה מקלדת אמוג'ים למערכת iOS עבור משתמשים בכל העולם.[2]

פופולריות ברשתות חברתיות והשפעה תרבותית

האמוג'י "חציל" משמש לעיתים קרובות לייצוג של פין בשיחות סקסטינג.[4][5] שימוש זה באמוג'י נפוץ במיוחד בארצות הברית[6][7] ובקנדה.[8] לפי אתר Emojipedia, האמוג'י משודך לעיתים קרובות לאמוג'י האפרסק (🍑), שנעשה בו שימוש תכוף כדי לייצג ישבן[9] או איברי מין נשיים.[10]

כבר בשנת 2011, נעשה שימוש באמוג'י החציל כדי לייצג פין בטוויטר.[4][11] לפי מספר מגזינים אינטרנטיים, השימוש באמוג'ים בהקשרים מיניים שינה את התדמית של החציל "מירק תמים לקיצור האהוב על אמריקה לזין רוטט".[8][12] לפי אתר סלייט, "החציל הפך לפרי הפאלי הדומיננטי של אמריקה".[7] במגזין קוסמופוליטן נכתב ש"הירק הפשוט, שהוזנח בעבר, הפך לכוכב בתוך כמה שנים, הודות להחלטה הקולקטיבית שלנו להתייחס אליו כסמל האוניברסלי לזין".[12]

אמוג'י החציל זכה להתייחסויות רבות בתרבות הפופולרית. בשנת 2017, נטפליקס זכתה בזכויות ההפצה של סרט בשם "אמוג'י החציל".[13] שם הסרט שונה בסופו של דבר לשם "החבילה".

באפריל 2015, אינסטגרם הוסיפה את האפשרות להשתמש באמוג'ים בהאשטאגים.[14] זמן קצר לאחר מכן, הפלטפורמה מנעה מההאשטאג "🍆", כמו גם מכל התייחסות לחצילים, להופיע בחיפוש באפליקציה.[14][15] ב-2019, פייסבוק ואינסטגרם אסרו שניהם על שימוש באמוג'י החציל או האפרסק לצד "הצהרות מיניות על חרמנות".[16]
