Martijn Garritsen, nado en Amstelveen o 14 de maio de 1996, mellor coñecido polo seu nome artístico Martin Garrix, é un DJ neerlandés ligado ao selo discográfico Spinnin' Records.[1]

Traxectoria

Tivo os seus inicios con "BFAM", unha coprodución con Julian Jordan,[2] outro artista subscrito ao selo Spinnin' Records. En 2012, gañou o Nightlife Award e o premio ao DJ revelación do ano durante o SLAM! FM.[3] Tamén en 2012, o seu remix da canción "Your Body"[4] foi editado coma "Your Body (Martin Garrix Remix)" nunha edición especial do álbum de Christina Aguilera, Lotus. "Just Some Loops", unha colaboración con TV Noise, foi incluída no álbum recompilatorio Loop Masters Essential, Volume 2. En 2013, "Torrent", unha coprodución con Sidney Samson foi lanzada pola discográfica de Tiësto, Musical Freedom.[2]

Garrix gañou moita fama trala publicación do sinxelo "Animals"[5] o 16 de xuño del 2013 polos selos 541 / N.E.W.S., converténdose nun éxito en varias listas de todo o mundo e acadando millóns de visitas en Youtube.[6][7] Ademais é o artista máis novo en chegar á cima dos máis vendidos no portal Beatport.[8] A canción tamén aparece na compilación de Hardwell, Revealed Volume 4.[9]
