Théobald Foy, baron Foy, est un homme politique français, né le à Chenu (Sarthe) dans le château de Chérigny où il est mort le .

Biographie

Fils du général de brigade « Max » Foy et petit-fils du général d’Empire Maximilien Sébastien Foy[a] et de Théobald Piscatory[b], il suivit ses études à Tours. Il devint en 1892 membre du conseil général d'Indre-et-Loire, maire de Couesmes de 1898 à 1942[1] et député d'Indre-et-Loire de 1906 à 1910.

    • l'arrière petit-fils par sa mère Isabelle Piscatory, celle-ci étant d’abord petite-fille du général Foy car cette dernière est la fille de :
      1. La 1re fille du général Foy parvenue à l'âge adulte, Blanche Foy, née en 1814,
      2. Et de Théobald Piscatory.
    Cette situation quelque peu compliquée est due à un mariage consanguin conclu en 1864 entre son père, le général « Max » Foy âgé de 42 ans, et sa mère Isabelle Piscatory, nièce du premier.
  2. Comme explicité dans la note précédente, en effet, Isabelle Piscatory, mère de Théobald Foy, est la fille de Théobald Piscatory.
